UK Paddle Federation. Nace la Federación de Padel de Gran Bretaña

UK PADDLE FEDERATION Paddle is a sport which combines the best element of tennis and squash, plays by doubles and following the tennis scoring system. The size of the court is 20m per 10m and the net run across the centre of the court. The UK Paddle Federation was created last March. Brian Thomson is the person who did all the paperwork to start it. Brian is from Sheffield and he has a lot of enthusiasm to introduce and promote this sport in all United Kingdom.

Federación Británica de Padel: El padel es un deporte que combina las mejores características del tenis y el squash. Se juega en dobles y se basa en el sistema de puntajes del tenis. Las medidas de la cancha son de 20 por 10 metros y una red la cruza por el centro. La Federación Británica de Padel se creó en marzo de 2006, siendo Brian Thomson el encargado de comenzar su tramitación. Brian es oriundo de Sheffield y ha mostrado un gran entusiasmo para introducir y promocionar este deporte en toda Gran Bretaña.

Brian Thomson and Paddle Sport Limited are collaborating together in order to expand this new sport into UK. The most important project at the moment is the possibility of United Kingdom to be in the next World Paddle Cup in October 2006 in Murcia (Spain). Brian Thomson y Paddle Sport Limited colaboran conjuntamente con el objetivo de expandir el padel en Gran Bretaña. El proyecto de mayor importancia en este momento es la posibilidad que se presenta para participar en la próxima copa del mundo en octubre de 2006 en Murcia, España. Solamente necesitamos seis jugadores para cada equipo, masculino y femenino. PADDLE TOURNAMENT IN RYE At 10 a.m. On Sunday 21st May we will be holding the I Rye Open Paddle Tournament. The entrance fee including lunch and prizes will be £ 10.00 per player. The event will be organized by Paddle Sport Limited. This tournament will be played in the Rye Tennis & Squash Club during the morning and men and women can play it. At the end we will finish with a prize ceremony and a lunch.

Torneo de padel en Rye: A las 10 de la mañana del domingo 21 de mayo comenzará el I Open de Padel de Rye. La inscripción tiene un costo de 10 libras e incluye almuerzo. El evento estará organizado por Paddle Sport Limited y tendrá lugar en el Rye Tennis & Squash Club durante la mañana, tanto para la participación masculina como femenina. El torneo finalizará con la ceremonia de premiación y el almuerzo.
